Diana advises early-stage start-up businesses from 1-3 “guys in the garage” to regional multinational corporations from inception through the life-cycle of the venture, negotiating angel and venture financing, customer and licensing transactions, and mergers and acquisitions. Over the last 5 years Diana has represented over 100 startups, angels, founders, and has been involved in a myriad of financing and Mergers &Acquisitions transactions valued at over Kshs 1 billion in the aggregate.
Together with her co-founding partner, Jacklyne, D& J Law is Diana’s own entrepreneurial venture with the primary goal of providing experienced legal counsel to start-up companies in a much more cost-effective, responsive and founder friendly manner than any of the “big” law firms out there.

Jacklyne has helped navigate the many pitfalls a startup usually encounters, and has worked with businesses in a wide spectrum of industries, and going through varied lifecycles, from self-funded, seed funded to fast-growing Kshs.100M+ businesses.
She has 5 years’ experience advising high growth technology startups in Kenya and East Africa and founders overseas on angel, accelerator and venture financing, Mergers & Acquisitions transactions, inbound and outbound investments into and from Kenya private securities offerings, entry into the Kenyan market, partnership structuring, cross-border corporate restructuring, commercial joint ventures, exits, entity formation and structuring, driving key contracts and transactions to closure, and day to day general corporate governance matters.
Jacklyne has several angel investments in businesses across the spectrum, from agritech, fashion and design, hospitality, financial services, to ecommerce ventures.

AssociateMarion is a lawyer at D&J Law and has over 4 years of experience and specializes in the intersection between transactions & technology laws.

Prior to joining D&J Law, Marion has associated with multiple firms and advised clients ranging across tiers of public & private sector entities, in respect of start-ups, cross-border investments, corporate structuring, and regulatory compliance. She is all hands in, serving all the departments of the firm for optimal outcomes for the firm’s clients.
