PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Diana specializes in Real Estate and Conveyancing, with extensive experience acting for real estate companies, developers, and individuals on complex land transactions. Her current practice is heavily focused on high-value property investments and large-scale real estate projects, where she supports developers and investors in structuring commercially sound, legally robust, and technically compliant developments. She is adept at preparing and negotiating sale agreements, leases, transfers, and joint venture agreements, while overseeing all registration formalities to ensure smooth completion of transactions. Diana also advises on amalgamation, change of user, lease extensions, subdivisions and compliance with emerging regulatory requirements such as geo-referencing for sectional titles.
Beyond real estate, Diana is a seasoned Banking, Finance, and Securities practitioner, having acted for banks, SACCOs, and financial institutions in structuring and registering diverse security instruments, including charges, debentures, bonds, guarantees, and syndicated loan agreements.
Diana also works closely with Private and high-net-worth individuals in setting up and structuring trusts, succession planning vehicles, and wealth preservation strategies. She has advised families and individuals on establishing efficient estate planning frameworks, ensuring asset protection, intergenerational wealth transfer, and compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
Further, she is a trusted Start-up lawyer and mentor to early stage start-up founders in Kenya and across East Africa. Diana advises businesses from their inception, ranging from “three guys in a garage” to regional multinational corporations, throughout the life cycle of the venture. Her practice includes negotiating angel and venture capital financing, handling customer and licensing transactions, and overseeing mergers and acquisitions. Over the last five years, she has represented numerous startups, founders, and investors, and has been involved in numerous financing and M&A transactions valued at over Kshs. 1 billion in the aggregate.
